India Saw Significant Gains Under Vajpayee’s Leadership, Says PM Modi

On the anniversary of his passing, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to BJP icon Atal Bihari Vajpayee and said that India tremendously benefited from his leadership.

In paying respect to the former leader, Modi said that he was instrumental in advancing India’s development and bringing it into the twenty-first century in a variety of fields.

He remarked, “I join the 140 crore people of India in honoring the extraordinary Atal Ji on his Punya Tithi.

Vajpayee, the first BJP prime minister, is credited for popularizing the party outside of its core and effectively leading a coalition government for six years, during which he promoted reforms and improved infrastructure.

At the age of 93, he passed away in 2018.
