Installing a Coin-Operated Sanitary Napkin Dispenser at the Vijayawada Railway Station
The South Central train Women’s Welfare Organization (SCRWWO), Vijayawada, has erected a coin-operated sanitary napkin dispenser and incinerator at Vijayawada train station with the goal of improving menstrual hygiene and making it easier for female passengers and female workers.
The dispenser and incinerator were dedicated on Wednesday by SCRWWO president Jaya Mohan, and they are situated at Swarna Jayanthi Waiting Hall on Platform No. 1.
The most desired and necessary perk in every job is this… In order for women to be active and healthy in everyday activities, maintaining adequate menstrual hygiene is crucial, according to Mohan, who was quoted in a news release from the South Central Railway (SCR) Zone’s Vijayawada Division.
She urged train workers to inform female travelers about the presence of this crucial facility at Vijayawada railway station in order to remove the stigma and shame around menstrual health.
