Israel has allegedly been occupying “Palestinian land” for 80 years, according to Asaduddin Owaisi, the head of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM).

Owaisi’s remarks coincide with the current fighting between Israeli troops and Hamas, which has claimed the lives of close to 5,600 Palestinians.

Owaisi praised Palestine and Gaza and denounced violence days after the conflict started. Owaisi posted a picture of the Al-Aq Mosque in Jerusalem on X and captioned it, “Hands of GAZA, Falasteen Zindabad. Murdabaad (violence) (committed mostly by Israel or any Group/Organization).
