It’s a bust, the partnership doesn’t provide the public with any real information: Former AP minister

Minister Perni Venkataramaiah (Nani) referred to the TDP-JSP-BJP alliance’s Praja Galam gathering at Boppudi, close to Chilakaluripet in the Palnadu district, as a complete failure, claiming that the trio had neglected to explain to the electorate what they would provide if elected to power in the State.

Nani also criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for leaving out of his speech any of the unmet promises, such as the completion of the Polavaram project and others.

Speaking to reporters on Sunday, Nani questioned why TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu, who had resisted and mistreated Modi five years before, was suddenly endorsing the politician. Nani wanted to know, “How is Naidu, who compared Modi to a terrorist five years ago, calling the same person a Viswaguru now?”

Nani questioned how the alliance would oppose Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in light of the public address system malfunctions during Modi’s speech, given that they were unable to adequately organize a gathering.

“We have explained to the people at our Siddham meetings our actions and the reasons the people of the State need to support Jagan. However, Nani continued, “the alliance partners have not explained to the public why people should support them or what they will do to the State.”

Nani also questioned why the TDP-BJP, dubbed the “Double Engine Sarkar,” should be re-elected and what damage they had previously caused to the State. Nani went on to say that nobody could predict whether Modi, Naidu, or Pawan Kalyan would grant Special Category Status. Pawan Kalyan was also questioned by Nani about why he had not brought up the subject of the privatization of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant at the meeting.

The former minister further ridiculed Modi’s assertion that the Congress and the YSRC are one. “Such comments would be believed by TDP activists as well as by the BJP. He said, “In actuality, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) in Telangana and AP is really the All India Chandrababu Committee.

Recalling that Modi had himself said that Naidu had used the Polavaram project as an ATM, Nani also declared that an investigation into the purported fraud in Amaravati and other places would be launched.

“What prevented the BJP administration from launching an investigation into the purported anomalies in Polavaram’s construction? How has Naidu clarified his position on the Polavaram issue? Nani asked.
