Jalaun: BJP leader accused of sexual exploitation of minor boys reached jail, dirty video recovered

In Uttar Pradesh's Jalaun district, police on Wednesday arrested the city vice president of the Bharatiya Janata Party for allegedly sexually abusing minor boys. The district's Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Awadhesh Singh said that on the complaint of two minor boys, a 65-year-old Rambihari Rathore living in Bhagat Singh Nagar of Konch town has registered a case of sexual exploitation and arrested them.
After his arrest, Rambihari Rathore was presented on Wednesday by a local court in Jalaun, where the court has sent him to judicial custody. Police said that Rathore is a retired accountant and is associated with a political party. The police arrested the accused when the police saw CCTV cameras installed in the accused's room. The police has also recovered laptop, DVD and hard disk from his house, which contains many pornographic videos and Rambihari is seen doing pornography in them.
Police has registered a case in this regard. Police said that the victim's minor boys had alleged that they also sexually assaulted five other children of Rambihari area and recorded their videos. The parents of the victimized minor boys are daily wage laborers. The victims are aged between 15 and 16 years. Police said that the accused used to seduce and sexually abuse them to give them a cold drink. The victims also said that they have been harassed for the last two years.
BJP District President Ramendra Singh said that Rambihari Rathore, arrested in the case of child sexual exploitation, was a vice president in the BJP's city unit of Konch town. He said that as soon as the matter comes to cognizance, he has been dismissed from the post and primary membership of the party.
Jalaun Superintendent of Police Yash Vir Singh said that an FIR was lodged by Rambihari a week ago, stating that the digital video recorder (DVR) of his CCTV cameras had been stolen. Police caught two persons with the DVR and when they investigated the DVR, they found the recording. Police said that the two persons who stole the DVR are relatives of the victims.
