Jharkhand: Gang rivalry over drug dealing is suspected in the shooting death of a 27-year-old in Adityapur

According to authorities, a 27-year-old male was shot and killed on Monday in the Seraikela-Kharswan area of Jharkhand.

They said that the event took place on Sunday night at Muslim Bustee, close to the Adityapur police station.

According to them, Firoz Ansari was wounded in the chest and stomach close to his home.

Police added that after being brought to the Tata Main Hospital, the medical staff there confirmed him dead.

They said that Firoz, an electrician, was selling brown sugar.

According to authorities, the violence is thought to have sprung from gang rivalry over the local narcotics trade.

On Monday, Superintendent of Police Anand Prakash went to the location and met with the cops.

To preserve peace and order, a police presence was stationed in the area.
