Jharkhand: Good news! Soren government will forgive farmers up to 1 lakh loans, this will be the whole process
The very next day after presenting the budget (Jharkhand Budget 2021-22), Jharkhand Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon has made a big announcement to provide relief to the farmers. The Minister of Soren government has announced that next year the farmers' loan waiver scheme will be waived up to one lakh and it will be announced in the budget of 2022-23. After this announcement of the government, three lakh more farmers will come under the loan waiver and they will get the benefit. In this budget, the government has already announced a loan waiver of up to 50 thousand.
Rameshwar Oraon said that at present, the government is giving a loan waiver of up to 50 thousand which will be increased to 1 lakh next year. He said that the government is making full preparations to give more and more money in the hands of farmers. Oraon said that the Chief Minister Krishi Aashirwad Yojana was just a show off, farmers were not getting any benefit from it, so a decision has been taken to stop it. The farmers were not able to get Chiniya Almond, Latto and Betasha even under this scheme. Farmers will be directly benefited through debt waiver.
Debt waiver started
Oraon informed that nine lakh seven thousand 778 farmers of the state are going to benefit from the loan waiver. Banks have prepared this list and given it to the government. However, NPA loans and farmers who have been declared insolvent will not get the benefit of this scheme. Under this scheme, a loan of up to 50 thousand can be waived out of the same debt of a member of a family. Farmers will be selected on the basis of ration card and whose loan will be more than 50 thousand, they can also be given a pardon of only 50 thousand at the moment.
Next year, when the government will waive loans up to one lakh, then their number will be decided according to the list received on the basis of the data prepared by the banks. Through this budget, 15 lakh poor have been added for five kg of food grains at the rate of Re. 1. Apart from this, three lakh 65 thousand disabled people will get pension. Along with this, wages have also been increased by 31 rupees in MNREGA.
