Jharkhandi laborers shot in Imphal resulted in deaths and injuries

Around 8 p.m. on Saturday in Imphal, an unidentified assailant shot and killed a 41-year-old migrant laborer from Jharkhand, injuring two other workers from the same state. This is the first time that attacks on individuals from outside the Northeast have occurred since ethnic conflict broke out in Manipur in May of last year.

In the morgue of the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences in Imphal, lies the corpse of the departed, identified as Ram Hangsada.According to police on Sunday, Bittu Murmu, 22, and Mitalan Soren, 50, are recovering at Raj Medicity in Imphal East.
“The three were from Jharkhand’s Godda district. The injured men’s status is stable, according to an officer. They were employed by construction businesses and real estate developers for a project. The officer said that no organization has taken credit for the incident.

“The shooting happened outside the place they were renting. Hearing gunshots, the locals raced to the scene and saw the two males and a corpse on the ground “the officer said. The laborers were shot at close range after the attackers pulled them outside, according to accounts. A suo motu case has been filed by the police.
