Karnataka Lockdown: Karnataka extended the lockdown in 11 districts till June 21, relaxations given in the rest, read guidelines
The Karnataka government on Thursday extended the lockdown for a week till June 21, easing some restrictions in districts with a positivity rate of less than 15 percent, in view of the decreasing cases of corona in the state. Whereas the existing restrictions will be applicable for 11 districts with high positivity rate. These 11 districts are Chikmagalur, Shivamogga, Davangere, Mysore, Chamarajanagar, Hassan, Dakshina Kannada, Bangalore Rural, Mandya, Belagavi and Kodagu.
At the same time, DC has been empowered to take strict action in consultation with the ministers in charge of the district for those who do not follow the rules during the lockdown. It is known that this decision has been taken after a review meeting chaired by Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on the situation of Kovid-19 epidemic in Karnataka with senior ministers and officials.
The lockdown will be effective from June 14 to June 21 at 6 am
The lockdown has been extended for a week in the state. This ban will be effective from 6 am on June 14 to 6 am on June 21. Under the new guideline issued in the state, districts with high positivity rate will have to follow the old guideline, while in low positivity rate districts, all industries are allowed to work with 50 percent employees. However, textile factories can operate with only 30 percent of the workforce.
Parks will be open from 5 am to 10 am
On the other hand, shops selling essential goods will be allowed to operate from 6 am to 2 pm. Apart from this, all businesses related to construction like cement and steel are allowed to open. The parks will be open to the public from 5 am to 10 am. At the same time, street vendors are allowed to work from 6 am to 2 pm. Autos and taxis are allowed to carry only two passengers. At the same time, according to the order, Kovid curfew will remain in the districts from seven in the evening to five in the morning. Apart from this, the weekend curfew will be effective from 7 pm on Friday to 5 am on Monday.
