Karnataka: Rs 7.8cr worth of assets are declared by Sunil Bose

Son of Social Welfare Minister HC Mahadevappa, Sunil Bose is a Congress contender from the Chamarajanagar (SC reserved) seat. He has assets valued at Rs 7.84 crore. It’s interesting to note that he has no cars registered in his name.

The 42-year-old Sunil Bose, who resides in Ambedkar Beedhi in Hadinaru village in Nanjangud taluk and is part of the Varuna assembly constituency, has proclaimed himself a bachelor. At Nanjangud Rural Police Station, he has been charged under IPC 171 (wearing garb or carrying token used by public worker with dishonest purpose). He was charged of providing fruits and buttermilk to members of the public and party employees on March 28, 2017, during a vote-gathering event, according to the FIR.

His immovable assets are valued at Rs 4.31 crore, while his moveable assets are valued at Rs 3.53 crore. For the development of land, he has spent Rs 85.50 lakh. Despite not having a bank loan, he owes people Rs 5.56 crore.
