Kerala Rains: Yellow Alert Issued In Six Districts As Severe Downpour Lashed Several Areas Of The State

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow warning in six out of the state’s 14 districts on Thursday as relentless heavy rain pounded numerous areas of Kerala. For Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, and Malappuram, yellow warnings have been issued, according to PTI.

Seven districts, including Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, and Idukki, are also on a yellow warning for Friday.

 

Additionally, throughout the day, the Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, and Kannur districts of Kerala were expected to have one or two thunderstorms with light to moderate rainfall and strong gusts.
