K’taka Home Minister: We Won’t Allow ‘Udta Bengaluru’ to Take Place

Dr. G Parameshwara, the home minister for Karnataka, said on Wednesday that he would not let the city to become “Udta Bengaluru” and that he would not permit the drug problem to worsen.

The Home Minister claimed to have set the Dakshina Kannada district administration a six-month deadline to stop selling drugs.

“Udta Punjab, which means Punjab is soaring, is a movie. There is concern that Bengaluru would likewise get the moniker “Udta Bengaluru.” In the Karnataka assembly, Parameshwara said, “We would never allow this to happen.

When Congress MLA Basavaraj Rayareddy claimed that many resorts in Gangavati and Anegundi in the Koppal district had turned into a hotbed of criminal activities including narcotics, prostitution, and gambling, the topic was brought up.
