limitations for the VP’s visit to the PU campus

The vice president of India and university chancellor Jagdeep Dhankar will be visiting Punjab University on March 7 for the 71st annual convocation. The institution has declared that numerous precautions would be implemented on campus.

The university’s gymnasium hall is where the convocation is scheduled to take place. According to a circular, there will be no cars on the path from Gate No. 1 via the Administrative Block, the Chemistry and Physics Departments, and finally the gymnasium hall.

On March 6 and 7, this path will be off-limits to the public from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., and no cars will be permitted to park there. On March 6 and 7, all university residents and visitors are advised to refrain from parking their cars on the campus roadside.

Entry and exit via Gate No. 1 will still be possible from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. and after 7 p.m. The circular said that teachers, guests, and VIPs would be able to enter and depart at Gate No. 2.

It also said that residents and students on campus might enter and depart Gate No. 3 at any time between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.
