He was hospitalized for several days for the treatment of Corona. His health started deteriorating on Friday. He was brought to Mumbai. He died on Saturday morning in Mumbai itself.
Ravasaheb Antpurkar, who lost his life from Corona, is the second MLA from Maharashtra. Prior to that, the death of NCP MLA Bharat Bhalke of Pandharpur was also due to Corona. By-elections are to be held in Pandharpur on 17 April. Ravasaheb Jayawantrao Antapurakar was identified by a simple choice of the man who lived in a rented house till the last moments of his life.
Corona was born 25 days ago, died today
Last year, even during the Corona period, Antapurkar did not stop the works of the people. He constantly kept listening, knowing, understanding and solving the problems of the people who roamed in his area from village to village, street to street, farm to field. About 25 days ago, Raosaheb Antapurkar got a corona infection. Till his early days, he was treated at Bhagwati Hospital in Nanded. But seeing no improvement in his health, he was brought to Mumbai. He was undergoing treatment at Bombay Hospital for the last 12 days. Raosaheb Antapurkar was also a patient of diabetes and blood pressure, so his health was constantly fluctuating. Some time ago he also had a heart attack.
Who was Raosaheb Antapurkar?
Ravasaheb Jayantrao Antapurkar was identified as a leader who goes to every extent for the work of the public. It was his nature to live with simplicity and not to show off. He was adept at mingling and was a very popular leader. He completed his Class X from the Human Development School of Antapur, Degalur Block in Nanded District. After this, he did his graduation from Aurangabad. Prior to joining politics, he was employed as an engineer in the efficiency division of the Mumbai Maharashtra Electricity Board. In 2009, he made a good buy job and contested and won from Deglur-Biloli region. He also defeated Subhash Sabane in the 2019 elections and became an MLA.
