Man in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, tied up with ropes and beaten to death with sticks

In the Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan, a gang of men abducted a young man, bound him with ropes, and beat him till he died with sticks, according to authorities on Tuesday. They said that web footage purportedly captured the attack and was filmed by the suspects.

The event took place on Thursday in the vicinity of Surajgarh Police Station, according to Jhunjhunu Superintendent of Police Rajarshi Verma. He said that while attacking Rameshwar Valmiki (27), the accused recorded a video. According to Verma, the following people have already been taken into custody: Deependra alias Chintu, Praveen Kumar alias PK, Subhash alias Chintu, Satish alias Sukh, and Praveen alias Baba.

According to the SP, Deependra worked as a history sheeter at the Surajgarh Police Station. He said that the accused had taken Valmiki hostage from his home, tied him up, and severely beaten him with sticks till he passed away.

Kaluram, the victim’s older brother, filed a complaint about the situation, according to the police.
