Maneka Gandhi claims that implementing the PM’s Beti Bachao Beti Padhao plan was her happiest moment

Maneka Gandhi, a senior BJP lawmaker, said that when she served as the minister for women and child development during the first term of the NDA government, being assigned the task of carrying out Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s favorite program “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” was her proudest moment.

Gandhi, the senior-most MP in the current 17th Lok Sabha, spoke at a special event to remember the former Parliament in the Central Hall. He stated, “My proudest moment was being given the duty by the prime minister, who invented the slogan ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’. We altered national thinking in only two years, and data indicate that this transformation has lasted.

“Today is a historic day, and I’m honored to have contributed to it. We are visiting a brand-new Parliament structure, and we are confident that this magnificent construction would capture the ideals of a modern India. As the most senior member of the Lok Sabha, I have been given the honor today of addressing this distinguished Assembly, she remarked.

Having spent the most of her adult life at this institution, the senior BJP MP said, “I have seen seven prime ministers and the making of great history.” I served as an independent for a number of terms before ultimately deciding to join the BJP, which was then led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Since that time, I have proudly served in this August House and the BJP. I have made an effort to use every minute that I have had here.

Speaker of the Lok Sabha Om Birla, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Modi, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of the Rajya Sabha Piyush Goyal, and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Pralhad Joshi were all seated on the dais in Central Hall.
