Manoj Wadhwa, a former deputy mayor, has joined Congress

Former Deputy Mayor Manoj Wadhwa, who recently left the BJP, joined the Congress on Monday at his home in the presence of Rajya Sabha MP Deepender Hooda, bolstering the party’s campaign. Many of Manoj’s fans, including his wife Asha Wadhwa, joined the Congress as well. Hooda promised them they would get the utmost respect inside the party.

The ED has charged Wadhwa with violating the Prevention of Money Laundering Act in relation to suspected illicit mining. The ED called him and his kid on the matter.

In addition to his wife’s failed run in the most recent mayoral elections in December 2018 against BJP candidate Renu Bala Gupta, Wadhwa had previously attempted to fight the Assembly election in 2014 on behalf of the INLD against former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. In a tight race, she lost the elections. Wadhwa became a part of the BJP after the election.

Despite being a member of the BJP, Wadhwa claimed to be harassed by the party. “I joined the BJP in 2019 and have experienced a great deal of discrimination, mental stress, and harassment over the last four and a half years, which is what caused me to leave the party,” Wadhwa said. declaring that he would do all effort to guarantee Divyanshu Budhiraja, the Congress candidate for the Karnal Lok Sabha seat, and Trilochan Singh, the candidate for the Karnal Assembly byelections, success.

Wadhwa gave Hooda a copy of the Indian Constitution while pleading with him to work to preserve it since the BJP government was putting it in jeopardy.

Deepender Hooda, the Congress candidate for the Rohtak Lok Sabha constituency, described Wadhwa as an enthusiastic leader and promised to treat him and his followers with the utmost respect.
