PDP chief and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti have once again slammed the central government. Attacking the Narendra Modi-led central government, he claimed that the central government's policy in Kashmir has failed. According to news agency ANI, Mehbooba Mufti said that the central government is afraid of the Gupkar alliance because if we come together, their sinister plan will fail in the valley. He said that the policy of the Center in Kashmir has failed and they have to come back to the policy of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
On passing a resolution against the Uniform Civil Code of Jamiat-Ulema-e Hind, Mehbooba Mufti said that she has made her point and at a time when the situation in the country is deteriorating, questions are being raised about the mosques. It is good if people come together and talk. Significantly, the Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind passed the resolution expressing deep concern over the "deprivation of constitutional rights and attempts to enforce a Uniform Civil Code".
Earlier, Mehbooba Mufti compared the judiciary of India and Pakistan, saying that in the neighboring country where six people were sentenced to death in a case of lynching, India those accused of the same crime were given bail. But he was released and was greeted. Along with this, Mehbooba Mufti had accused the Bharatiya Janata Party that it has only taken advantage of the situation of Kashmiri Pandits and is not doing anything for their welfare. Mehbooba had said that the BJP has only exploited Kashmiri Pandits.
