Mohali: Poll workers were randomly assigned a second time

The second randomization for the general election was carried out by the district administration today in front of General Observers Hira Lal (Anandpur Sahib) and Om Parkas Bakoria (Patiala), DC Aashika Jain, and SSP Sandeep Garg.

In order to deploy the 4,368 personnel who have been allocated stations, a randomization process was conducted. 1,092 voting places would be used, with over 20% more than the total of 905 booths. In addition to the 825 constituencies of Kharar, Mohali, and Dera Bassi, the district contains 34 booths of Chamkaur Sahib, 44 of Rajpura, and two of Ghanaur.

According to Jain, the final randomization to assign the booths to voting parties would take place at the constituency level.

General Observer Hira Lal, in the meanwhile, assessed the SVEEP operations conducted here today. He said that it would be very difficult for them to raise the district’s polling percentage given the falling voting rate.
