Jaipur. BJP Rajya Sabha member Kirori Meena on Saturday once again accused the state government of violating his rights. Meena told reporters at Nimbahera in Chittorgarh district, "Chittor Ashok Gehlot ji talks of Mahatma Gandhi's values, democracy and constitution, while on the other hand he has imprisoned me in police circles.
He said that I wanted to hold a press conference, pray at Shrinathji temple, wanted to go to Pushkar, but permission was not given. This is dictatorial (attitude) and a violation of my democratic and constitutional rights.
Meena, a Rajya Sabha member, said he would address a convention of tribals in Dhariawad town of Pratapgarh district on Saturday. It is noteworthy that Meena had also said in Jaipur on Friday that he was not being allowed to go to Udaipur where he wanted to participate in a tribal convention. However, later the police reached Nimbahera with Meena. Meena will now go to Dhariyavad.
It is noteworthy that a three-day convention of Congress is going on in Udaipur. The police had brought Meena from Udaipur to Jaipur on Thursday itself. Meena tweeted on Saturday, reaching Dhariyavad to meet my tribal brothers and sisters. No one can stop me from going to the tribal convention.
