NEET candidate Raj commits himself in a dorm room

According to authorities, a 17-year-old NEET applicant’s corpse was discovered hanging in his dorm room in this Rajasthani city on Wednesday.

In the last 24 hours, a coaching student has committed suicide twice.

Devesh Bhardwaj, a circle inspector (CI) of the Vigyan Nagar police station, said that the adolescent had been identified as Aditya Seth, a native of the Uttar Pradesh city of Jaunpur. was discovered Tuesday night hanging in his PG room in Sector 2 of the neighborhood.

Seth, a student in his eleventh grade year, claimed to have spent the previous two months living in a PG room while training for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) at a coaching facility.

According to Bhardwaj, the deceased left a suicide note in his PG room in which he stated that he committed himself at his own will and that no one else was to blame for his decision.

Seth’s parents, who arrived in Kota early on Wednesday, told the reporters that Aditya was smart in class and that he spoke to them on the phone every day but never said that he was upset.

They said that his older brother, an engineer today, also attended school in Kota.

This is the 14th occurrence of a student’s alleged suicide in Kota, the nation’s coaching center, this year. At least 15 incidences of coaching pupils committing suicide were reported in Kota in 2022.

Mehul Vaishnav, 18, a native of Udaipur and aspiring doctor, is believed to have committed himself earlier on Tuesday morning in his hostel room nearby, according to the police.

According to statements made to the media by his family, Vaishnav was also a talented student who had earned 85% of the possible points in the class 10th board test. They also said that their son had chosen to study for the competitive exam in Kota.

On Wednesday morning, police turned over the two remains to the corresponding family members and filed two separate cases under section 174 of the Criminal Procedure Code for the investigation to identify the true cause of death.
