Oath to preserve water resources

Kurukshetra: As part of the Jal Shakti Abhiyan program, the NSS team of Dayanand Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Kurukshetra, hosted an oath-taking event called “Catch the Rain,” in which up to 79 female students took part. Water shortages are common at home, according to Principal Upasana Ahuja, and domestic waste is also at its highest. Under such circumstances, women might take simple steps to successfully address the issue. In order to combat the rapidly declining supply of drinking water brought on by ecological imbalance and climate change, she emphasized the critical necessity of save rainwater. She emphasized that public engagement is the only way the water conservation effort can be successful.

Workshop on Communication Training

Rohtak: The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, MDU, and the Centre for Study of Developing Societies (CSDS-Lokniti), Delhi, jointly sponsored a communication training program on the subject of “Social and Political Barometer Study 2024.” The goal of this workshop, according to Professor Harish Kumar, Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, is to examine the socio-political landscape and many elements that impact society. Beginning on May 26, this survey will be conducted across Haryana. Field investigators will be sent to tour several Haryana Lok Sabha seats in order to gather information on the political, social, and economic factors that influence the elections. Using a unique software, online instruction was given throughout the session. It was attended by around thirty students from MDU’s several disciplines, including journalism.

KU VC encourages students to cast ballots

Kurukshetra: Kurukshetra University Vice-Chancellor Professor Som Nath Sachdeva urged all faculty members, administrators, staff members, and student voters in the university fraternity to take part in the election in significant numbers. Sachdeva said, “Everyone has an unalienable obligation to vote in addition to their democratic right to do so. Every vote counts for the nation’s ongoing progress. I urge everyone to cast a ballot in the elections and to encourage family members to do the same. He emphasized that every vote counts for the advancement of the country and urged the campus community to honor their responsibilities and rights by using their right to vote.
