Officer Raj has made government in Odisha more difficult: Yogi

During an election meeting at Kulia RMC ground in Mahanga Assembly segment on Thursday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that when bureaucracy takes over democracy, it leads to authoritarianism, corruption, exploitation of people, and mafia raj.

He said that the past 25 years of “Officer Raj” in Odisha had damaged government and set the state back 50 years. Yogi said, “People now have the chance to vote for a double-engine government, like in Uttar Pradesh.”

“It’s shocking how the government is shielding Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati’s killers while manipulating Odia Asmita.” The UP chief minister remarked, “The officers have encouraged land mafia, coal mafia, and playing with the future of the youth and looting the natural resources of the state.”

He said that while power is provided abroad at lower costs, people in Odisha are paying exorbitant amounts for it. He said, “Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has been misled by his officers, which is the only reason for this.”

“You have allowed Naveen Babu to work for you for a considerable amount of time. However, not much has changed, which is bad. Up until 2017, the mining, livestock, and land mafias had an impact on Uttar Pradesh. However, mafia raj has stopped in my state, and the land that was taken from the mafia is now being utilized to build public services like hospitals and schools. We’ve stationed bulldozers to guard ladies and company owners. Now that Uttar Pradesh has emerged as the nation’s model state, he said, urging supporters to cast their ballots for Baijayant Panda, the MP candidate for Kendrapara, as well as other BJP candidates running in the Assembly seat.

Yogi said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India’s position has evolved over the last ten years. India’s frontiers remain safe, despite the country’s growing renown. Both naxalism and terrorism are close to being extinct. Nationwide infrastructure development has been enormous, including both railroads and roadways. The growth of the health and education sectors has received special attention. He said, “Airports have been built more since 2014.”

Speaking on the development and welfare initiatives of the Modi-led central government, he said that the prime minister has made sure that funds from the Center reach the accounts of beneficiaries directly, doing away with the need for intermediaries, via direct benefits transfer.
