He added that the incident happened on October 1st in the morning and that the victim, Ramkishore Badriprasad Kushwaha, had captured the beating and vehicle damage on his mobile camera and sent it to a family member, which had assisted the police in finding and apprehending the four suspects two days later.

“The victim was driving a tanker full of gas to Gujarat from his home in Nalasopara, Palghar. The motorist carelessly pushed past a car on the highway as it approached Maljipada in the district. The passengers in the automobile got out in protest and halted the tanker. They began assaulting the driver with clubs and an iron rod and stone-damaging his car, according to a police station employee in Naigaon.

The accused were in no mood to listen, so they proceeded to beat the victim viciously despite his repeated assurances that he would compensate them for any damages to their automobile. According to him, the victim captured their behavior on his mobile camera and emailed his nephew a video of it.

The perpetrator then fled the scene after leaving the victim to die in the driver’s compartment, the witness said.

Later, the victim’s nephew arrived and transported him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The nephew also gave the police the video that his late uncle had given to him. According to the official, the video clearly displayed the accused individuals’ car’s license plate, which assisted authorities in locating them.

All four suspects were detained in Nalasopara on Tuesday morning and were booked under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder), 427 (mischief causing loss or damage to the amount of fifty rupees or upwards), and 34 (common intention) based on the complaint made by the victim’s nephew, according to the police.

Another official said that section 302 (murder) would be added to the case by the police.
