One person is killed and 28 are wounded when a bus strikes a container truck in Raigad on the Mumbai-Goa Highway

A state transportation (ST) bus and a container truck crashed early on Sunday on the Mumbai-Goa highway, resulting in Aman’s death and 28 injuries, according to a police officer.

The bus and container truck were traveling side by side when the event occurred at Talegaon village, close to Mangaon, according to a Raigad police officer.

“The bus collided with the truck. Vinod Tarale, a passenger from Dombivali, was killed in the crash, while his wife Vaishnavi and son Atharva, 15, suffered critical injuries. All all, 28 people were hurt, including nine ladies, three girls, and five boys, he said.

After the event, MSRTC officials set up a bus to transport the passengers to their destinations, he said.
