Kangra DC examines police stations in border regions with Indora

Investigation of “swapped” infants at Chamba hospital
On Tuesday, a family from the Churah subdivision caused a commotion at the Pt Jawaharlal Nehru Government Medical College (PJNGMC) and Hospital in Chamba, claiming that a different family had switched their children. The upset family members also complained to the Medical Superintendent, who has mandated an investigation into the situation.

Demanding that ABVP remove “illegal” PhD seats from Himachal Pradesh University
The chairperson of the department of commerce was gheraoed today by the Himachal Pradesh University branch of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad for allegedly engaging in irregularities during the PhD program’s admissions procedure. The student body urged that the PhD program’s admissions be canceled. The department chairperson’s resignation was also sought by the ABVP.

Five IAF helicopters make an emergency landing on a main highway in Kashmir Valley
The first-ever Emergency Landing Facility practice in Jammu and Kashmir saw five IAF helicopters, including the newly introduced US-manufactured Chinook, land on a section of the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, authorities said on Tuesday.
