Mercury was arrested in a case related to terrorism
After being released from the National Investigation Agency-NIA court on January 9, Para was taken into custody by the Crime Investigation Department of Kashmir and was brought from transit custody in Jammu. The NIA arrested Para on 25 November in a separate case related to terrorism. Para's lawyer has claimed that his client won the District Development Council election while in the custody of the NIA.
