Phase 4 of the Lok Sabha Election 2024: Voting in 96 Constituencies Throughout 10 States and Union Territories

Voting in 96 seats distributed across 10 states and Union Territories has already started in the fourth round of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. In this stage, 1717 candidates are running for office.

Numerous states and Union Territories will have polling places for the Lok Sabha, covering a wide range of seats. All seventeen seats in Telangana, all twenty-five seats in Andhra Pradesh, thirteen seats in Uttar Pradesh, five seats in Bihar, four seats in Jharkhand, eight seats in Madhya Pradesh, eleven seats in Maharashtra, four seats in Odisha, eight seats in West Bengal, and one seat in Jammu & Kashmir are included in this.

Additionally, voting will take place in the Srinagar Lok Sabha seat, which is a noteworthy event since it is the first major election in Kashmir after the repeal of Article 370 in August 2019. As part of the fourth round of elections, voting will take place simultaneously in all 175 Assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh and 28 in Odisha.

Chief of the Samajwadi Party Akhilesh Yadav, Union Minister Giriraj Singh, energetic leader of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) Mohua Moitra, and leader of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) Asaduddin Owaisi are among the notable candidates running for the election. Notable candidates running in the elections include Andhra Pradesh Congress President YS Sharmila, former cricket player Yusuf Pathan for the TMC, and Congress politician Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury.

Seven stages of the Lok Sabha elections will take place between April 19 and June 1. Voter tallying is planned for June 4.
