PM inaugurates world's first nano urea liquid plant, said – we have found permanent solutions to problems, not improvised solutions

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the Center is giving a subsidy of Rs 3,200 per bag on urea and Rs 2,500 on DAP. The country imports a quarter of the fertilizer requirement from abroad. With the innovation of Nano Liquid Urea, we will move towards self-reliance. Prime Minister Modi addressed the Sahakar Se Samridhi program at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar on Saturday and virtual inaugurated IFFCO's Nano Liquid Urea Plant. This is the world's first Nano Liquid Urea Plant. Speaking on the occasion, he said that his government in eight years did not find a temporary solution, but a permanent solution to the problems.

It is the result of efforts to strengthen the rural economy that India today ranks number one in the world in milk production. The annual turnover of animal husbandry is 9 lakh 50 thousand crore rupees. To make cooperatives competitive in the country and the world, the government has given them relief in taxes. 17 lakh women of Gujarat are involved in animal husbandry. Today Lijjat Papad of tribal women of Gujarat has become a global brand. The Prime Minister said that earlier due to black marketing, farmers had to use sticks for urea. Due to the Corona epidemic and the subsequent Ukraine-Russia conflict, their availability in the international market decreased and prices increased. But, the government did not let these troubles affect the farmers. This year, the Center gave a subsidy of one lakh 60 thousand crore rupees to the farmers on urea and DAP. Next year it will exceed two lakh crores. Modi said that due to a lack of technology, many fertilizer factories in the country were closed. After coming to power, we started factories in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Telangana. India imports one-fourth of its fertilizers and almost all of its potash and phosphate from abroad.

One sack of fertilizer will fit in a 500 ml bottle

Nano Liquid Urea Plant has been constructed by IFFCO (Indian Farmers Fertilizer Co-operative Limited) at Kalol in Gandhinagar district at a cost of 175 crores. Its production capacity is 1.5 lakh bottles of 500 ml per day. Fertilizer from one sack of urea will now be absorbed in a 500 ml bottle in the form of nano urea.

what is nano urea?

Till now urea has been used as a solid. But Nano Urea is completely liquid i.e. in liquid form. Solid urea is available in sacks, but nano urea is available in bottles. This liquid urea has been developed by nanotechnology.

PM Modi has given recognition to cooperatives: Amit Shah

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah said that cooperation is the identity of Gujarat. Gujarat has made the country proud in the field of cooperatives. Sardar Patel and Tribhuvanbhai Patel together laid the foundation of Amul, which is today the best example of cooperation. Earlier there was no recognition of cooperatives. But, Prime Minister Modi recognized it by forming a separate ministry at the Centre. A database of cooperatives, animal husbandry, fisheries, women cooperatives, and milk producer societies will be prepared in the country. Organic labs will be set up in Gandhinagar and other cities of the country so that people can get certified organic products. The Center has reduced the taxes levied on farmers, sugarcane growers, and the cooperative sector from 12 to seven percent. Eight thousand crore rupees have been made for the farmers in the budget.
