Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the new campus of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, 'Vanyaj Bhawan', and the NIRYAT portal. Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal was also present on the occasion. During this, PM Modi also gave his address. PM Modi said that the goal of both these projects is to expedite government work. He said that the government's projects should not be delayed for years, they are completed on time, the government's schemes reach their goals, then only the taxpayer of the country is respected. Now we also have a modern platform in the form of the PM Gatishakti National Master Plan.

A sign of our achievements in the field of commerce
PM Modi said that the commercial building is also a sign of our achievements in the field of commerce during this period. I remember, at the time of foundation stone laying, I had emphasized the need for innovation and reform of the Global Innovation Index. Today we are ranked 46th on the Global Innovation Index and are continuously improving. Both of these speak about a positive change in our governance related to trade and commerce and our aspiration for a self-reliant India. Today, when this building is being inaugurated, more than 32 thousand unnecessary compliances have been removed.


New record of export of Rs 31 lakh crore this year
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that last year the country had decided that despite every challenge, it has to cross the milestone of $ 400 billion i.e. 30 lakh crore rupees of merchandise export. We have also crossed this and made a new record of export of $ 418 billion i.e. 31 lakh crore rupees.

The government is working with the whole government approach
PM Modi said that today every ministry, and every department of the government is giving priority to increasing exports with a 'whole of government' approach. Be it the Ministry of MSME or the Ministry of External Affairs, Agriculture, or Commerce, all are making common efforts for a common goal.

Emphasis on 'Vocal for Local Campaign'
PM Modi said that the government's emphasis on local products through the 'Vocal for Local Campaign', and 'One District, One Product' scheme has also helped in increasing exports. Now many of our products are being exported to new countries of the world for the first time.
