PM Modi's big announcement, 80 crore people will get free grain by November

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed the country once again amidst the growing cases of Corona . Making a big announcement on this occasion, Prime Minister Modi said that the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana will now be extended till Diwali and Chhath Puja, i.e. by the end of November. Modi said that for these five months more than 80 crore siblings will be given 5 kg wheat or 5 kg rice free of cost by the government. Besides, every family will be given 1 kg of gram free every month. More than 90 thousand crore rupees will be spent in the expansion of this scheme. Today, if the government is able to provide free food grains to the poor, the needy, then the credit goes to two sections. First - the hardworking farmers of our country, our food providers. Second- honest taxpayer of our country

He said that we have more work during and after the rainy season, mainly in the agriculture sector. There is a slight slowness in other sectors. Gradually, festivals also start forming from July. This time of festivals also increases needs, also increases expenses. Under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana, a package of Rs 1.25 lakh crore was given for the poor. In the last 3 months, 31 thousand crore rupees were deposited directly into Jan Dhan accounts of 20 crore poor families. 18 thousand crores have been deposited in the bank accounts of more than 9 crores farmers.

The Prime Minister said that while fighting against the Corona global epidemic, we are now entering Unlock-2. We are also entering the season when there is a disease like cold, cold, fever. I request all my countrymen to take care of themselves. If we look at the death rate due to corona, then India is in a better position than many countries of the world. Timely lockdowns and other decisions have saved the lives of millions of people in India. But ever since there has been an un-locked forest in the country, negligence has been increasing. At first, we were very cautious about taking a mask, taking a distance of two yards, washing hands several times a day for 20 seconds. Now governments need to show the same vigilance to the local body institutions, to the citizens of the country.

Modi said that during the lockdown, it was the highest priority of the country that such a situation does not happen that the stove is not burnt in the house of a poor person. Be it central government, state governments, civil society people, everyone has made every effort that none of our poor brothers and sisters should go hungry in such a big country. The country or individual, by taking timely decisions, taking decisions sensitively, increases the power to counter any crisis. Therefore, as soon as the lockdown took place, the government brought the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana.
