Police Increase Their Vigilance To Combat Cybercrimes Before The Ram Temple Event

Ayodhya: Officials stated on Sunday that police in Uttar Pradesh have been ordered to step up their watchfulness due to an increase in cybercriminals attempting to defraud people by sending phony messages purporting to collect contributions and offering free prasad and VIP credentials before to the Ram temple event.
As the state gets ready for tomorrow’s consecration event in Ayodhya, they claimed, the administration has sprung into action and is making aggressive efforts to confront and oppose these negative acts.

Circle Officer Shailendra Singh of Ayodhya claimed that an Indian-American citizen who was defrauding people in the same ways was recently taken into custody by police in the city.

According to him, the individual was purportedly charging ₹ 51 for home delivery of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Pran Pratistha ‘prasad’ to Indian residents and $11 for inhabitants of foreign nations via websites and social media. In addition, the accused was peddling silver coins, T-shirts, and other items with “Shri Ram” themes.

According to the circle officer, the individual was accused of misleading more than 16 lakh people, and the total value of his illegal transactions was ₹ 10.5 crore.

Devotees are urged by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, the trust in charge of building and overseeing the Ram temple, to refrain from responding to unsolicited pleas or WhatsApp messages and to refrain from making contributions without the required authorization.
