Pratapgarh: BJP MLA lying on road showing torn kurta, SP accused of beating

BJP MLA Abhay Kumar alias Dheeraj Ojha (Raniganj MLA Dheeraj Ojha) from Raniganj Legislative Assembly seat in Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh is sitting in the Sitting Protest on the DM office accused of big rigging in the voter list. During this, the MLA tore his kurta in anger and sat on the ground again. After the arrival of SP and DM, a high-voltage drama took place inside the chamber for about 15 minutes. After this, when the BJP MLAs came out of the chamber, there were no clothes on the body.
He alleged that the SP beat him up. He was also beaten and threatened by the mob MLA workers gathered at the DM house after this. However, DM MLA went to the chamber again with Dheeraj Ojha. The MLA alleges that there are some people against whom there are many cases including the Gunda Act, yet the DM did not take any action regarding the election. Even after he informed about such people, the administration did not take cognizance. With this, the names of many such people who are eligible voters, could not appear in the voter list. He gave the DM a list of such characters, but the administration did not step on it.
SP dismissed the allegations
The political and administrative corridor was disturbed as the MLA sat on a dharna. At first, ADM Shatrohan Vaishya tried to convince MLA Dheeraj on behalf of the DM, but he did not agree, saying that until his demands are expedited, he will sit on the protest. At the same time, SP Akash Tomar came with DM. When he declared the MLA's strike as improper, a heated argument ensued between the MLA and the SP. SP Pratapgad said that the MLA was sitting on a dharna against him, alleging disturbances in the voter list at the DM residence. When I refuse to misbehave, they are making false accusations together with the activists. The SP said that the police has no connection with this entire matter.
