Prayer Meeting at Mukhtar Ansari: SC Allows Abbas Ansari To Attend Private Ceremony With Family

The late politician and mobster Mukhtar Ansari’s son Abbas has received substantial allowances from the Supreme Court in a recent ruling. The Ansari family is embroiled in a web of legal complications that surround this decision. On June 10, the detained Abbas Ansari is allowed to go to a private prayer service held in honor of his deceased father. In addition, despite the turmoil surrounding his father’s passing, Abbas Ansari will be able to visit and spend time with his family on June 11 and June 12 thanks to the Supreme Court’s extension of its deliberations. Due to a lack of judicial clearance, the imprisoned Mau MLA was unable to attend his father’s funeral.While in judicial custody on March 28, Mukhtar Ansari, who had hundreds of charges against him and was found guilty in some of them, passed away from cardiac arrest at a hospital in Banda, Uttar Pradesh.

After being transferred from Banda prison to Rani Durgawati Medical College as his health worsened, he passed away there. The mobster was incarcerated in Uttar Pradesh’s Banda Prison, where he was serving several life sentences. Five-time MLA Mukhtar Ansari of the Mau Sadar seat was buried in Ghazipur on March 30 under a security blanket. The 63-year-old has more than 60 criminal convictions against him and had been imprisoned in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh since 2005.
