Jaipur. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Monday targeted the central government over the ever-increasing prices of petrol and diesel and said that this was a sign of its insensitivity. Gehlot tweeted, "Rising fuel prices in the country are a sample of BJP's completely insensitive regime." The NDA government is making a profit at a time when the general public is already two to four with so many evils. The government should stop squeezing people. ''
It is noteworthy that the Congress on Monday protested against the continuous increase in the prices of petrol and diesel by the central government, and staged a sit-in at the district headquarters across the country and submitted a memorandum to the President. Gehlot said that petrol and diesel prices have increased almost every day in the last one month. Such sustained price increases are the result of wrong policies. Rising prices of petrol and diesel will increase inflation, transportation costs will increase, agricultural investment will be expensive. According to the Chief Minister, Congress President Sonia Gandhi understands the suffering of common people and stands with them.
