Prime Minister Narendra Modi held an online meeting with three teams developing and manufacturing the covid-19 vaccine. These teams were from Genova Biopharmaceuticals in Pune, Biological E Limited of Hyderabad and Dr. Reddy Laboratories of Hyderabad. Modi suggested to the companies that they should make extra efforts to inform the people about the covid-19 vaccine, including its effectiveness, and simplify other matters related to it.

PM  Modi asked the companies concerned to work with them to resolve the issue, while asking the companies to give suggestions on the regulatory process.

National Desk: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to launch the Ayushman Health Scheme for Central Paramilitary Forces in Assam on January 23. According to official sources, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) like Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). On 23 January, Home Minister Shah will distribute the Ayushman health card to the chiefs, one deputy officer and one soldier each. The total strength of CAPF personnel is close to 1 million and they carry out internal security related activities.

An official told PTI-language that the Union Home Minister can start the Ayushman CAPF Health Scheme in Guwahati on January 23. A presentation will be made about this scheme and after that the minister can also address the beneficiaries. The Central Government calls Ayushman Bharat (PM-Jai) the world's largest health plan. Under this, the poor are provided free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh per family per year.
