Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann: Arvind Kejriwal will be freed and bring about a revolution in the nation

Bhagwant Mann, the chief minister of Punjab, said on Saturday that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is being held by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in relation to a money-laundering case involving an excise policy, would be freed and lead a revolution in the nation.

On Thursday, the ED took the 55-year-old AAP national convenor from his official home. After his Friday court appearance, he was placed in ED custody until March 28.

Mann, Atishi, and Kailash Gahlot, two ministers from Delhi, and Mayor Shelly Oberoi gathered at Shaheedi Park on Saturday to celebrate the martyrdom days of Rajguru, Sukhdev, and Bhagat Singh.

“The BJP wants to impose tyranny throughout the nation. Arresting opposition leaders does not equate to freedom. Come together, or else our nation will collapse. Mann said that Kejriwal will emerge and usher in a significant change.

He said the Delhi administration will operate in compliance with the law.

“There is no legal need for a chief minister who is imprisoned due to a political grudge to step down. He has not been found guilty; he is in the custody of the ED. Every contender shall embody Kejriwal. All volunteers will be Kejriwal, said the chief minister of Punjab.

Mann pointed out that the top pages of every foreign newspaper had an article stating that India’s “democracy is in danger.”

“These individuals advocate for ending the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Here, they imprison opposition leaders,” he said.
