On Tuesday, a dad in Pali, Rajasthan, is suspected of killing his daughter by slicing her neck and then lighting her on fire. According to authorities, they are searching for the accused who fled.

The preliminary inquiry revealed that the accused, Shivlal Meghwal, had been living apart from his family in Pali for a span of 12 years. His wife and children were claimed to reside in Gujarat by the police.

Meghwal believed his married eldest daughter Nirma (32), who was the source of family turmoil, according to family members who spoke to the police about the dead.

Nirma’s father visited her on Monday when she was attending a wedding in Isali village, Pali. He then asked the woman and her younger sister to accompany him someplace, according to the lawsuit.

According to the statement, he also reportedly cut Nirma’s neck, doused her corpse in gasoline, and told his younger daughter to wait while he drove Nirma to a distant place.

When Meghwal arrived, his other daughter saw blood on his hand and summoned the locals, who then notified the police after discovering Nirma’s half charred corpse, the police said.

Additionally, they said that efforts are being made to capture the defendant, who is facing charges of murder under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.
