Rajeev Bindal: The Congress government is on a ventilator, with little time left

The six Congress lawmakers, according to state BJP president Rajeev Bindal, rose up in rebellion against their government because it had so terribly failed to keep the promises it had made to the people.

Speaking during a news conference held here today, Bindal said that the Congress administration was running out of time and that it was on a ventilator. “The outcomes of the six Assembly by-elections and the four Lok Sabha seats will alter the political landscape of the state,” said Bindal. He said that the BJP was gaining popularity because of PM Modi’s leadership.

Despite statements by the Chief Minister, ministers, and other leaders that their administration would serve out its whole mandate, Bindal said that the Congress’s strength in the Assembly had decreased from 40 to 34.

According to him, the Sukhu-led Congress government was furious about the state’s financial situation and continued to blame the former BJP government for it.

“All development works have come to a standstill, but the government has taken out a loan of Rs 18,000 crore in just 15 months, adding to the state’s debt,” he said. He stated that the generous finance provided by the BJP administration headed by Modi was the reason for the development projects being carried out in the state.

According to him, the Centre gave Himachal Rs 1,782 crore, 21,000 dwellings, and Rs 1,000 crore under MNREGA during the state’s rainy and floody seasons. He said that everyone was demonstrating on the streets today because people had now realized how deceptive the Congress leadership had been with their phony promises.

Today, at the party headquarters, Indu Verma, the spouse of Rakesh Verma, the former MLA from Theog, joined the BJP. She has also run as an Independent in the 2022 Assembly election.

She expressed her happiness at being reunited with her followers in the party. Bindal said that after a 14-month reign, Congress was able to seize power by making false promises that had not been kept.
