Rajkot: Woman raped in the name of sorcery, accused of having a son, accused arrested

The mother of two daughters and a 24-year-old woman have accused her neighbor that she raped the woman twice on the pretext of religious rituals. The incident is from Savarkundla town in Amreli district where the neighbor was committing a disgusting incident like rape by promising to help the woman to have a son.
Sub-Inspector R. R. Vasava said that the police arrested the accused Keshavdas Parmar (30) on Tuesday night. He is accused of raping a woman for the first time in October last year and for the second time about a week ago. According to police, the woman had two daughters and wanted another son. She was told that Parmar could help her son conceive. Parmar promised her that by performing some rituals she could give birth to a son.
Woman called to her house on the pretext of performing rituals
In October last year, Parmar called the woman to her home on the pretext of performing rituals and allegedly raped her. A few weeks ago, Parmar called the woman to her house and allegedly raped her for the second time, if the victim believes. The accused asked the woman to keep the matter secret and also threatened to kill her daughter. After which the woman told her husband that a rape complaint was lodged at Savarkundla city police station.
