The BJP politician was transported to the hospital by his family and friends after the incident, according to the police, which happened at about 11 a.m. But he passed away before getting to Raj Medical Center.
"I was shocked to read about L. Rameshwor Singh's murder, the state coordinator for the ex-servicemen cell. This cruel conduct was highly denounced by us. The Manipur BJP tweeted that Singh was a devoted volunteer and that "the culprits of this horrific act must be brought to justice & punished appropriately."
