SAD is receiving positive feedback from all areas, it said. Bikram Majithia

Senior SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia said today that the Shiromani Akali Dal was receiving a tremendous amount of support from the state’s various social segments. On Thursday, he was speaking at a political conference held in Sran Resorts, Kadd Gill, in Tarn Taran. The party’s state general secretary, Iqbal Singh Sandhu, organized the meeting in favor of Virsa Singh Valtoha, the candidate for the Khadoor Sahib Lok Sabha seat.

During his speech, Majithia criticized Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, claiming he was just trying to please his political superiors in Delhi rather than serving the interests of the state. He said that political reasons were being exploited to abuse the state exchequer, and that Bhagwant Mann, the chief minister, was often out of the state, which was making the law and order situation worse and increasing the number of drug-related killings, looting, and snatching occurrences. He said that the state’s population was drawn to SAD-related topics, such as the liberation of Sikh prisoners.

Majithia praised Virsa Singh Valtoha, the party’s candidate, for his “Panthic” actions and revealed that the then-Congress government had imprisoned him for ten years under the National Security Act (NSA) because he was connected to Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale.

He urged the public to support Khadoor Sahib’s SAD candidate, Virsa Singh Valtoha.

Following his win in the local elections, Valtoha said he would bring up the matter of the release of Sikh prisoners and the advancement of the state in Parliament.
