Sanatan Dharma Controversy Sparked by RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat’s Remarks, Claims Congress Leader

Congressman Pawan Khera shed light on the present Sanatan Dharma dispute and attributed its genesis to recent remarks made by RSS head Mohan Bhagwat. Khera offered his viewpoint during a meeting of the newly formed Congress Working Committee in Hyderabad, giving light on the beginnings of a controversial discussion that has drawn the attention of the country, according to the Hindustan Times.

“The RSS leader Mohan Bhagwat was the issue’s originator. He acknowledged that we have seen exploitation for more than 2000 years, particularly in the framework of the Hindu faith, and he was the first to speak 15 days ago, Khera said. Bhagwat’s claim that some groups in society have historically been exploited because of caste-based discrimination sparked a considerable debate over the necessity for social change and the maintenance of reservations as a way to right past wrongs.

Khera emphasized the position taken by the RSS leader on the subject in reference to recent remarks made by Bhagwat. We left our own fellow humans behind in the social structure, Bhagwat had said. We neglected them for 2000 years because we did not care about them. Reservations are one of the specific remedies that must be in place until we provide them equality. Therefore, reservations must remain in place until this prejudice ends. Bhagwat also underlined that the problem went beyond political or economic equality and emphasized the need of showing respect and appreciation to underrepresented groups.

Khera’s comments followed advice given to party leaders earlier in the day by Rahul Gandhi, a former president of the Congress. Gandhi advised his party lawmakers to keep their ideological focus and use prudence while dealing with the BJP. “Rahul Gandhi specifically emphasized the need of having intellectual clarity. We all, in my opinion, had a great sense of clarity after that CWC meeting, Khera said. Gandhi’s counsel focused on avoiding the traps that the BJP had put up and remaining dedicated to a morally upright political objective.
