Sanjay Singh thinks it’s time to respond to the BJP as he leaves prison

Sanjay Singh, the Rajya Sabha MP for the AAP, spoke to party members only hours after he was freed from Tihar Jail on Wednesday, criticising the BJP. He emphasized the need to react to the party’s activities and said that the BJP has accepted corrupt leaders.

The RS member, garlanded by AAP workers, stepped out of prison wearing a brown jacket and white kurta-pajamas. As his fans crowded around him to welcome him, Singh went up on top of his car.

In the excise policy case, the Supreme Court on Tuesday granted Singh bail. He paid a courtesy call to CM Arvind Kejriwal’s wife, Sunita Kejriwal, before to going to the party headquarters.

Singh offered his support for the three individuals currently incarcerated—Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, and Satyendar Jain—during his speech. In addition, he sang a revolutionary song written by Ismat Shahjahan.

After paying homage to individuals who opposed the dictatorial BJP administration at the outset of his address, Singh said that the BJP was imprisoning senior politicians who were doing important national service. He pledged to continue serving the nation in spite of the BJP’s purported attempts to obstruct them with raids and unfounded allegations.

Speaking directly to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Singh reaffirmed the party’s support for Kejriwal and said that they weren’t calling for Modi to step down but rather that they were pushing for the continuance of basic amenities like bus service, electricity, and mohalla clinics.

He emphasized that fighting, not rejoicing, should be the main focus of the present situation in Manipur. He gave his word that Kejriwal will stay on and keep helping the Delhi community.

In response to the BJP’s assertions that a government cannot function from a prison, Singh cited the jail manual, which allows the superintendent of the jail to certify official papers and to send an infinite number of letters.

As he concluded, Singh reminded the party faithful that their circumstances should not be seen as a cause for celebration but rather as a moment for tenacity and battle.
