Search operations in Kathua, J&K, after the discovery of six suspicious persons by locals

Jammu, 14 May Tuesday saw the J&K Police begin a search operation in the Kathua district’s border area after locals reported seeing six strange guys roaming through the region.

Police were notified by the residents of the district’s Jathana border village that they had seen six persons acting strangely in the vicinity.

“Police launched a search operation in the region since the settlement is near the international border… No one has been arrested as a result of these searches so far. The operation is ongoing, according to authorities.

A Pakistani drone crossed the Line of Control (LoC) and began to hover over Indian land two days ago, at which point the Indian Army opened fire on it in the Poonch area. The drone had no choice but to retreat.

Terrorists from across the Line of Control utilize drones to airdrop weapons and ammunition into Indian territory.

Of the five Lok Sabha seats in J&K, Kathua was one of the first to go to elections in the first phase on April 19.

With over 68% of voters casting ballots, the Kathua-Udhampur Lok seat voting was conducted in a calm manner.
