The Supreme Court judge DY Chandrachud praised the online Dispute Resolution-ODR, saying that online settlement of cases can make the judicial system available to the people everywhere. He said that it will be cheaper to settle the cases through online dispute settlement system, as well as this system will reach more and more people and hence people will be able to agree more with this system.
Speaking on the NITI Aayog's booklet on Online Dispute Resolution, Justice Chandrachud said that during the last one year virtual hearing of cases has helped to understand one important thing that due to many changes this process. Sometimes it can be proved more correct. The ability to use digital files on behalf of all parties, make digital notes, and having all the documents in one place helps in this.
People will get justice at a lower cost
At the same time, Amitabh Kant, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NITI Aayog said that online dispute resolution is a fast moving system, in which technology is used. This ensures more efficiency and lower costs or costs to ensure justice.
