Shimla: Himachal Road Transport Corporation buses will soon have six charging stations

The Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) will install six charging stations for its electric buses in the Shimla area.

One would be located in Lalpani, while the other two will be situated in Dhalli, which is nine kilometers from Shimla.

In a similar vein, the districts of Sunni, Narkanda, and Junga will each have one charging station installed. The locations of the charging stations are known.

in a cost of Rs 14 crore, a 200 kilovolt charging station with three charging stations would be erected in Dhalli. Here, three electric buses may be charged simultaneously.

In the Lalpani neighborhood of Shimla town, a 1,000-KV transformer will be erected, while in Junga, a 430-KV transformer will be installed. Each of these charging stations will have two outlets for charging. The forest has been cleared for the HRTC, and building will shortly begin.

In Sunni, a 1,000-KV transformer with two charging stations will be placed at the bus terminal, while in Narkanda, a 630-KV transformer with one charge point will be built.
