Shivraj Chouhan Could Become Vidisha, PM Modi From Varanasi | All The News Regarding BJP’s First List For LS Polls

To choose the candidates for the forthcoming Lok Sabha Elections, the BJP had a long brainstorming session on Thursday under the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The party’s senior brass and a number of important figures attended the meeting, which concluded early on Friday. According to party insiders, the names of about 150 candidates have been finalized, and the list will be made public in the next two days.

Present at the meeting were Chief Ministers, State Presidents, JP Nadda, the National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Organization General Secretary BL Santosh, and In-charges, Co-Incharges, and Election In-charges of many states. There were also the chief ministers of Goa, Uttarakhand, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh.

According to rumors in the media, prominent figures such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Smriti Irani, and former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan might be on the initial list of BJP candidates. Following the party’s decision to deny them another term in the Rajya Sabha during the most recent biennial elections to the Upper House of Parliament, the BJP is also anticipated to run Bhupender Yadav, Dharmendra Pradhan, and Mansukh Mandaviya in the general elections.

The party leadership is considering fielding Shivraj Singh Chouhan from Vidisha in Madhya Pradesh, according to a News18 report. It is anticipated that he would then receive a summons to the Modi 3.0 cabinet. According to the report, Vasundhara Raje, the former chief minister of Rajasthan, has been instructed by the BJP not to run for office this time. It is probable that the Election Commission will release the first candidate list prior to the election timetable announcement.

According to rumors, Prime Minister Modi is expected to run for office from Varanasi, the seat he has held since 2014. Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, is anticipated to run for office from Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Nitin Gadkari will keep his seat in Nagpur, but Smriti Irani, who beat Rahul Gandhi in the Amethi seat, is anticipated to run there again. It is claimed that Rajnath Singh would run from Lucknow once again.

All eyes will be on the BJP to see whether it chooses to nominate some well-known individuals or tries something new. The party’s election candidate lists have often been as important for those who are left out as for the new faces who are given a chance. Before the CEC makes a final decision, the party’s brain trust—which includes Shah and Nadda—has met with state leaders on a number of occasions to compile lists of possible candidates.
