Sukhpal Khaira: The AAP government’s massive illegal mining

Sukhpal Khaira, the head of the Congress, said today that widespread illicit mining was occurring across the state.

He presented the Secretary (Mining) with an ADGP intelligence report on illicit mining locations on February 22 in order to support his assertions.

According to Khaira, there is illicit mining in the districts of Tarn Taran, Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar, Ferozepur, Patiala, and Moga. He also disclosed information on communities and individuals engaged in illicit mining.

Khaira has asked the AAP administration for a white paper on the subject as well as an action taken report regarding the data that the ADGP presented. “How is the state administration going to continue saying that it has suppressed illicit mining? Its own senior-ranking official has provided the authorities with all information related to the activity, including the identities of the accused. He stated, “Videos showing illegal mining at Sidhwan Bet, Anandpur Sahib, and other locations have already been published by the opposition.

“Where is the Rs 20,000 crore that the AAP claimed to have generated through mining after gaining power?” Khaira questioned. I agree with them that there was unlawful mining going on even under earlier administrations. In this area, the AAP has not been able to make more than Rs 300 crore to Rs 350 crore. The remaining Rs 19,700 crore is where?

Despite the AAP’s claims that the nation’s democracy was in jeopardy, he pointed out that Punjab experienced the same situation. One such instance, according to Khaira, is the Punjab Police’s arrest of Amritpal Singh’s mother, uncle, and other family members as they were preparing to conduct a Chetna rally in Talwandi Sabo. Singh is now being held in a prison in Dibrugarh.
