Tamil Nadu: A party worker receives a stone from a DMK minister for being tardy in bringing a chair for him

SM NASAR, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam's Thiruvallur District Sectretary and the Tamil Nadu Minister for Milk and Diary Development, was seen on Tuesday hurling a stone at a party member for being late in delivering a chair for him to sit on. On social media, a video of the event has gone viral.

The Minister could be seen in the video seeming agitated and yelling at someone before he picked up a stone from the pile of muck in front of him and threw it far away. He tossed the stone, and his guards and other employees surrounding him laughed.

According to certain Twitter postings, the DMK Minister was looking over a location where Chief Minister MK Stalin was scheduled to attend an event. The Minister gained notoriety the previous year for allegedly disseminating false information that the Center had added G&S tax on milk.

When discussing the rise in milk distribution costs by the state-owned company Aavin during a news conference in November of last year, he had made this statement.

Cow milk now costs Rs 35 instead of Rs 32, and buffalo milk now costs Rs 44 rather than Rs 41. Aavin's full cream milk now costs Rs 60 as opposed to Rs 12 at first.

"The Union Government has also implemented a GST on milk. This occurrence is unusual. The selling price of milk has increased as a result of the GST, according to the DMK Minister.

Nasar was criticised by K Annamalai, the president of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Tamil Nadu, for being unaware that milk is not included on the GST list.
